NPH Group Estate Plan Program

As the lawyers for thousands of working New Englanders, our office has an active Estate Planning practice.  Through the use of technology, we have been able to streamline the process by which complicated wills and trusts are drafted and signed.  This has enabled us to save clients a great deal of time, and reduce the cost of this service significantly.

Additionally, our lawyers will work with your local group to coordinate on-site visits to meet with families and execute estate documents.  This has worked tremendously in the past for all involved.  We understand how difficult it is for both spouses to take time out of work to visit with lawyers – and so we have become equipped to take the whole estate planning show on the road, including multiple lawyers, computers, printers and all the rest, in order that the process is as painless as possible for our working clients.

There are many reasons why we need to have an estate plan. Of course, you want to have your say in the most important decisions – how your assets are divided; who should be in charge of your estate; who will take care of your kids; and who will watch over the funds and property you leave to young children, etc. This list goes on – for example, did you know that if one spouse dies without a Will, in some circumstances, the surviving spouse must share the estate assets with their in-laws? These issues can cause expensive and difficult problems if not addressed ahead of time. Fortunately, however, the up-front fix is quick and relatively simple.

NPH group clients / members and their spouses who take advantage of this offer will receive a complete Basic Family Estate Plan for at a small fraction of the usual cost.  A Basic Family Estate Plan includes the following for both the group member and the member’s spouse or partner:

• Last Will and Testament
• Family Trust
• Health Care Proxy
• Living Will
• General Durable Power of Attorney

This is how the offer works. We will coordinate with your group and make arrangements to come to your City or Town (you pick the place) to execute all documents and meet individually with everyone participating. If one day isn’t enough time, we will come back. We ask only that your group include a minimum number of estate plans, upon which we can agree ahead of time. In order to achieve this number, we invite you to extend the offer to your friends and families.

It would be helpful for us if you are able to provide us with an estimated size of the group, as well as contact information for those interested (names and email addresses).
